MINI BIO:

An Insurance Executive/Broker by profession for over thirty six (36) years and a former resident of Tunapuna for many years Mr. Peter Kanhai has a long and varied history of service in several fields, among them:

He served on the Board of the Greater Tunapuna Chamber of Industry and Commerce up to March 2018 for fourteen (14) consecutive years, five (5) of those years as the President.

He served as a Member of the St Augustine Education City Committee.

Council Member: Ministry of Social Development – Regional Social & Human Development Council (RSHDC) Tunapuna / Piarco Municipal Region – 2007 – 2011

Member: Cabinet Appointed Expert Panel Committee on the Creative Industries

Mr. Kanhai is also a long standing member of the Steelband fraternity having served as manager of a large steelband for twenty (20) years

He has quietly given long and dedicated service to our great Party the United National Congress for over 25 years including serving as its Chairman from 2017 to 2020.
