A Government for YOU(TH)

The Naparima Youth Arm questions if the Rowley led Government is for YOU(th). Whereas when Mrs. Kamla Persad Bissessar led Government, everywhere you looked you would have seen numerous projects being undertaken for the development of youth in Trinidad and Tobago, such as activity centres, educational institutions for Early Childhood Care up to Tertiary and sporting facilities.

The Naparima Youth Arm toured the Northern district of Naparima on 19th July, 2016 where we were disgusted and disappointed in the abandonment by the present Government in various projects to benefit youth started by the former People’s Partnership Government for example, the well anticipated Ben Lomond Youth Activity Center is now left as a home for stray dogs with bushed surrounding it and the Ben Lomond Early Childhood Care Center, Reform Early Childhood Care Center and the Reform Hindu Primary School just sitting to be opened with bushed growing on the rooftops.

When can the youth feel confident about their future again? Why should the Youth of Naparima Suffer? We Hope to see the day when we can see the motto “Your Government Working for You” and the day that we can feel proud of our Government.
