PNM mobbish and gang-like behaviour has reached our schools
On 6th June 2022 varying angles of very explosive, disorderly, and criminal behaviour was circulated on social media revealing a schoolgirl slashing another schoolgirl’s face in a school fight. This is not the first fight that has gone viral since the reopening of physical school. The UNC National Youth Arms notes with serious concern the increase in the alleged reports of school fighting and school violence. This comes right after the Minister of Education indicated that violence is down to almost zero. Is Minister Gadsby- Dolly misleading the nation? What data suggests that violence is down to almost zero?
Rowley’s violent behaviour has been normalized so much that even the children of our nation, the future generation is indulging in this type of horrific acts. The Minister of Education has been consistent, consistently doing nothing except lip action and in her head, violence is down to almost zero, how pathetic? All the government policies have failed, and one must question the intent behind these policies. A policy must not just exist in a vacuum and serve no purpose like the Minister of National Security, it must be effective.
The UNC National Youth Arm is fed up with this PNM Rowley led government who has placed our country in a sense of dystopian. The behaviour of several cabinet members who bully citizens into submitting to their kakistocracy is outrageous. This abusive aggressive assault promoting conduct is epitomized in the behaviour and language of the PNM Leader himself in the way he speaks to citizens, this is not trickling down to our children as the fish rots from the head. The bullying of MP Hosein in the Parliament by the obstructionist to democracy, the bullying of MP Mohit by the narcoleptic Minister of National Security and the ever so infamous mocking and jeering by the Leader of the House.
This type of toxic behaviour must end it is trickling down into our nation’s schools. The UNC National Youth Arm condemns all violence especially school violence and calls on the students and children of this nation to end it. UNC National Youth Arm Chairman, Kaveesh Siewdial said, “If the government continues to fail us, calling on the government to act seems redundant and inexorable, they are bent on bullying, barking, and biting rather than governing. I call on the government to act now, not tomorrow, they have a nasty habit of dragging their feet to fix anything. Our children are depending on us, we know they care about no one, but at least invest in the future. I call on the government to implement effective data driven policies to treat with this violence and to come down from their high horses and stop with their violent attacks and gangster behaviour because it only aids them in distracting from the current questions which they must answer”
