UNC Youth Arm Tells PM Rowley Call Election Now
After hosting their weekly press conference, the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service has dismissed the “emailgate” affair.
It is our view that then Opposition Leader acted with malice in accusing the then Prime Minister, the Honorable Kamla Persad-Bissessar of several serious crimes including the commissioning of the murder of a journalist. There was no solid evidence to support the claims made against the Political leader as well as members of her cabinet at that time.
Investigations were conducted by numerous agencies such as the FBI, Google and the Integrity Commission. However, Rowley exploited the goodwill of the citizens of Trinidad and Tobago and abused the Parliament to propagate this outrage. Clearly this attempt was done for his own political career as there was no way that Keith Rowley would have won elections based on his fruitless manifesto.
From all indications, this was an abuse of power by thePrime Minister. It is almost prophetic that as an aspiring Prime Minister, Dr. Rowley did not choose to act like a responsible citizen and report what he alleged to be suspicious emails to the TTPS. It is even more troubling that he continues with the trend of repudiating our national independent institutions, while launching a multi-million dollar political pappyshow at the taxpayers’ expense.
It is hypocritical for the PNM Prime Minister to stand on a platform and lambast citizens for not reporting suspected crimes to the police when he himself refused to do so. It can be noted that although this attempt was futile, the PNM has now become even more desperate and they would continue to make baseless claims and accusations against members of the UNC.
The leadership of this incompetent Prime Minister must be questioned as he continues to mislead the citizens of this country with deception and lies. This government must put the citizens first and do the correct thing. Call elections now.
Too many allegations and corruption is hanging over the heads of ministers. The people are fed up of this nonsense.
