As Youth Arm Chairman of the United National Congress together with the Honorable Attorney General Anand RamloganSc. upon the direction , guidance and patronage of the Honorable Prime Minister Kamla Persad Bissessar we have been able to develop and better the lives of hundreds of young people and citizens of this great nation through the institution known as the UNC Youth on a Mission.
The UNC Youth on a Mission is a re-branded re energized version of the UNC Youth Arm with the aim of taking Youth development to a different level by working with young people and allowing them to maximise their talent and potential.
For the Year 2014 we have launched three signature campaigns which have been geared not only to Youth development but also Community and at large national development.
They are:
1. UNC Youth on a Mission Football League – A League with a difference. Its not about the game but about the players. This caravan has been touring the different constituencies and every team which participates is rewarded with a trophy, medals for all players and a cash prize…yes every team from first to last. The Important factor is that every person both player or spectator can benefit from employment opportunities and career guidance availible during the tournament.( http://unctt.org/developing-youth-through-sport/)
2. Live YUH Life Program – This is the official Health Caravan of the UNC Youth on a Mission. It has been visiting different constituencies and providing free medical care to participants. However this Program is also Youth Direct as it also hosts a section on HIV and Aids together with information and assistance on combating lifestyle diseases affecting young people of today.
