Wished I lived in St. Joseph
I live in the constituency of San Fernando East. Three years onward from 2010, I must say, I feel extremely cheated. I know my MP has been experiencing some health challenges for some time now, but doesn’t the leadership of the PNM see it fit that we be afforded quality representation? Is this the type of leadership we should expect from the Leader of the Opposition should he ever become Prime Minister? Does he feel insecure in his leadership that he cannot challenge the current MP in order to seek the welfare of the constituents? This is not a good omen for the future indeed.
Then I look northward to St. Joseph, and I find myself wishing that I could have the opportunity that they have. Being offered the ultimate action man, Ian Alleyne, as a candidate is something I would be elated for. He comes with a tremendous track record, and he is someone who I know would be eager and anxious to prove himself. He is someone I anticipate who would deliver, deliver, deliver. I see him being someone I could call at anytime and he would give me a hearing. I wish he would run for San Fernando East.
