Govt should consider inter-village T20 cricket
THE EDITOR: The PP Government should now realise that you don’t need to be a rocket scientist to put things in place to get back popular support. These are some simple measures that can be put in place.
Firstly the Government should not make the same mistake like Basdeo Panday by trying to gain support in the East West Corridor or PNM strongholds and neglecting the constituency they already have.
The Government should give a mandate to all their MPs to fulfill at least ten projects in their constituency or ten major accomplishments.
The $1.5 million Hoop of Life is a good idea but to the wrong supporters, a mistake being repeated. Why not try a sport like inter village T20 cricket, football or All Fours competitions, according to the constituency liking. This will give the Government supporters some assurance that their support is being acknowledged.
This is completely the opposite with the Hoop of Life. Last but not least all MPs should remember the old saying, fix your house first. If all MPs make all their supporters happy they will not have to worry about a third party split.

very timely suggestion
This makes no sense, how can the party win popular support by doing projects only in areas they already have support and neglecting areas they don’t have support??? The party will not win back government without the East-West corridor. Subtract all those seats plus the two Tobago seats and UNC will be in opposition.
