The Makeover of Dr. Rowley that Never Was
The Editor:
I am astounded at some of the things the current Leader of the Opposition in Trinidad and Tobago say. I often ask myself who is advising Dr. Keith Rowley? Or better yet, I often ask myself if Dr. Keith Rowley is an individual who is prepared to take advice from anyone?
Imagine Dr. Rowley said the fact that one of the speakers at the PNM political meeting on Saturday 15 August, 2015 at Woodford Square had been fined for lying to an ethics commission did not disqualify that person from further participation in politics. Those are not my words. They are the words of Dr. Rowley.
Now you tell me, if this is what you want to teach our youths? Is this the type of role models that Dr. Rowley is prepared to impose on the citizens of Trinidad and Tobago? Is that the best that Dr. Rowley could have done?
Would we as citizens choose a man with such moral and spiritual values (or lack thereof) to lead this great twin island nation? How can we as citizens, in all good conscience come together to elect Dr. Rowley to lead our nation?
For those of my brothers and sisters who might have not as yet made up their minds on which of the two leaders to support, I am sure that they must now realise that Dr. Keith Rowley is a man, whom they cannot elect into the esteemed office of Prime Minister.
Dr. Keith Rowley has a lot of maturing to yet do. I am afraid that all the cosmetic makeovers that Dr. Keith Rowley has been through in the last five years have not been successful in making over Dr. Rowley.
