Stop attacks on AG, Ramesh
THE EDITOR: I am perturbed by the most recent responses by former attorney general Ramesh L Maharaj to the news that Google issued a sworn affidavit clearing those who were victims of the email issue.
I have noticed a trend with Maharaj whenever Attorney General Anand Ramlogan speaks on any national issue or is highlighted for some major political issue. He holds a press conference to attack the AG. I consider this to be highly unethical but indeed very revealing.
I am pleading to Maharaj to please shut up and allow the younger generation of lawyers and politicians to make their mark on history.
Your input reeks of everything that is ugly and it hurts your integrity as a former statesman.
Most people in Trinidad acknowledge the contributions you have made and we are all thankful. But please learn to stay silent and retain your respect and stop holding press conferences to discredit a sitting AG who appears to be outperforming you.
