Nothing to fear

The Editor:

I fully agree with Mr. Martin Daly SC that gives the Constitution (Amendment) Bill 2014 will not obliterate smaller, third parties as feared. This was the biggest concern hence we should have nothing to fear.

As he also rightly stated, the negotiations between Independent senators and Government, helped smooth out flaws in the bill showing that the checks and balances in the governance system do work.

In reality, though who ever fight to get into third place? All efforts should be placed on presenting candidates who the citizens would be pleased with and can bring about an outright win.
