Speaking with two tongues
THE EDITOR: This is an open letter to the interim political leader of the Independent Liberal Party.
I recently read that you said the Chaguanas West bye-election was one you never wanted, a fracas we could have done without.
I should now ask you, who called this upon the party, constituency and the nation? Is it not you, Mr Jack Warner? Who asked you to resign as chairman and MP?
You took this upon yourself and you chose to retaliate when you were not chosen to ride on a UNC ticket. Isn’t this so?
It was you who first got up on a platform and claimed you would never betray your party and your Prime Minister then went on a different platform to lambaste the Prime Minister and several Government ministers with claims that cannot even be substantiated.
You maligned many without hesitation and then have the audacity to say that it was a fight you never wanted.
If it was a fight you never wanted you would have never allowed your ego to grow larger than your head to do what you did. I am ashamed to see that you have stooped to such a degrading level.
With two tongues you speak that the ILP is formed to restore integrity in public office. Is this a joke?
I quote, “…among leaders there has been a pathetic moral lapse …” This must be a joke Mr Warner.
