PM extends condolences on death of Marcia Henville

Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar, SC has expressed her condolences to the family of well-known local media personality, Marcia Henville, who died in a fire at her St. Augustine home early this morning.
“I was shocked and saddened to learn of the death of Ms. Henville in such tragic circumstances, and I offer my sincere condolences to her family, friends and colleagues during this difficult time,” the Prime Minister said. “Marcia was known for her fearless pursuit of the truth, and the nation has lost a talented and dedicated journalist.”
Prime Minister Persad-Bissessar noted Ms. Henville’s valuable contribution to the field of journalism, and her strong focus on highlighting social issues in the country.
“My thoughts and prayers are with her loved ones. May her soul rest in peace,” Mrs. Persad-Bissessar said.
Henville was the hostess of TV6’s “Point Blank”. She was also the hostess of several radio programmes during her career in journalism.
