Lights at Morne Diablo & Dil Mohammed Trace Recreation Ground
The Honourable Kamla Persad-Bissessar SC, MP, Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, and Member of Parliament for Siparia, switched on the lights to two recreations grounds in her Siparia Constituency on Tuesday night.
The first was at the Morne Diablo Recreation Ground, which was attended by Hon Ganga Singh, Minister of the Environment and Water Resources, the Chairman of T&TEC, Sushilla Ramkissoon-Mark, and other guests.
No sooner had the lights been commissioned, the ground was swamped with children from the area who engaged in a game of football. The Hon Prime Minister did not disappoint. She did not lace up her football boots, but she was good enough to score a goal, much to the delight of the children.
The second was at the Dil Mohammed Trace Recreation Grounds. After the lights were commissioned, a football match between ex-students of Shiva Boys and Penal residents took centre stage. The Hon PM met both teams before the match. PM Persad-Bissessar reminded all that the two lit grounds took the number to 21 which received lights in the Siparia Constituency in the past three years.
