Couva North Health Care Education Workshop
Minister Ramona Ramdial hosted a Health Care Education Workshop at her Couva North Constituency Office, facilitated by the College of Science, Technology and Applied Arts of Trinidad and Tobago (COSTAATT) on Tuesday.
Participants from the Chase Village/Chaguanas Community learnt about Foot Health Care, Glucose and Cholesterol Testing, Importance of Oral/Dental Hygiene and Stress Management.
Ramdial thanked COSTAATT and line Minister, Fazal Karim for collaborating and bringing the health workshop to Couva North. She stated that “a large majority of constituents suffer from lifestyle diseases, especially Diabetes, so this workshop would help by promoting healthy lifestyles. The intention is to influence communities to prevent lifestyle diseases and so reduce stress on the already heavily burdened health sector.”
Tuesday’s workshop was the first of a five-session health education programme planned for Couva North over the next month.
