Charles calls for investigation into funding of Balisier House
Following TTPS, CTU and FIU inaction on this matter, Charles has written to Transparency International requesting their assistance in demanding that an investigation be done into the funding of Balisier House, in the interest of transparency, democracy and accountability. (See attached)
While such sensitive content need not be shared with the public, the TTPS, CTU and FIU must be provided with the relevant information to ensure that proceeds from human trafficking and money laundering are not part of the Babylonian monstrosity and national shame that is Balisier House.
Given that PM Rowley would have the nation believe that a simple raffle funded a $50 million plus building, or that both he and senior PNM members were unknowingly in the intimate company of an alleged human trafficker, questions must be raised and clarified.
It is time that Mr. Nigel Stoddard, Acting Director of the FIU, Dr Samantha Chaitram, Director of the CTU and CoP Erla Christopher follow the money and determine once and for all who really funded Balisier House.
If Rowley has nothing to hide, he should have no problem in providing the list of donors immediately.
In an attempt to redirect questions away from the PNM, one of Rowley’s lap dogs poked his head out to attempt to engage in a political tit for tat and promote propaganda. However, he seemed to be unmindful of the fact that there are no bigger gossipers, liars, bacchanalists and comesse creators than Rowley and the PNM, evidenced by the outrageous falsehood of Emailgate.
Unlike Rowley’s email fabrications, a prima facie case has been established that warrants an investigation into the funding of Balisier House.
We hope that Transparency International can utilise its powers and encourage the investigative bodies in T&T to conduct a thorough investigation and get to the bottom of this serious issue.
Otherwise, come July this year TT may very well remain on the Tier 2 watchlist in the US Trafficking in Persons Report, due to the inaction and indifference of those charged with eliminating the scourge of human trafficking in T&T.
