PP Governance Record in Brief
The issue of good governance has been brought into the political fray over the last two years. In particular questions have been raised as to whether the PP is indeed concerned with good governance. The following are some of the high points in the PP approach to good governance which debunks that criticism that we as a government is not so inclined.

13. Decentralization of Ministry of Legal Affairs Offices to allow citizens access to birth and marriage certificates within the same day of application
14. Settling of 66 out of 75 unresolved agreements in the labour sector thus respecting the rights of the employees to equality of treatment and the principle of fairness in exchange for labour
15. Resolving the HCU and CLICO matters thus preserving the rights of citizens to security of their investments
16. Calling and holding three elections in and one in 2010 as they are legally and /or constitutionally due
17. Bringing to an end the contract with SNC Lavelin thus proving beyond a shadow of a doubt that the govt is serious about corruption
18. Filing by AG of several matters regarding former Members of Boards of Sate companies in T&T
19. Rejecting BAE’s “lemons” in terms of the OPV’s and winning a settlement of 1.4 billion.
20. Answering 90% of the Parliamentary questions filed by the opposition on time.
