Warner and Volney’s “Cabal”
Jack Warner has been constantly referring to “the cabal” during his campaign. Mr Warner has stated that “the Prime Minister is the victim of a cabal and even now, I have no bitterness against the Prime Minister. My fight is against the cabal that has imprisoned her.”
Fired Minister of Justice Herbert Volney has also echoed similar sentiments, and he went on to name four Government officials. One can undoubtedly connect the dots between the firing and resignation of Mr Volney and Mr Warner, and their public pronouncements into the existence of a cabal. Is it a case of sour grapes?
Prior to their political demise, these individuals had no problem being a part of the PP Government, under the leadership of the Prime Minister. How is it that when the tables have turned, they start making these allegations against the Government? To suggest that the Prime Minister is being manipulated and imprisoned by certain Government Ministers insinuates that she is unable to make good decisions, and therefore unfit to lead. How then could Mr Warner claim that he has no fight with the Prime Minister? Based on recent events, it appears that Mr Warner and Mr Volney are members of their own cabal, and are disappointed with their failure at manipulating the Prime Minister.
