Unfair to put UNC supporters through pain
THE EDITOR: No one is questioning Jack Warner’s ability to work and get things done, it is for that reason the PM stood by him when Rowley said he can’t be VP of FIFA and minister at the same time… it is for that reason the PM stood by him when the bribery scandal broke… it is for that reason the PM stood by him when the re-route camp was demolished… it is for that reason the PM stood by him when the Flying Squad scandal broke…it is for that reason the PM stood by him when the FBI investigation story broke.
All along the PM has put the Gov’t on the line for Jack but something must have happened while the PM was in the US that put her in a position where she could not hold on to Jack anymore.
And at no time did Jack Warner choose to ease the pressure on the PM by tackling some of those issues head-on. When time came for him to clear his name about the bribery scandal he chose to resign rather than clear his name.
Similar case with the Concacaf Report, when eminent jurist Sir David Simmons asked him to provide any documents in his position concerning Concacaf and the Centre of Excellence he wrote to Sir David Simmons saying he had none, only to come days after his resignation to put on a grand show at Pierre Road with folders of documents.
Mr Warner should not and cannot hold the PM and UNC responsible for his demise and it is selfish and unfair to put the UNC supporters through the agonising pain of choosing between him and the UNC.
It is time for Jack Warner to man-up, take responsibility for his actions and stop playing victim and scapegoating others.
