The chairman of the National Youth Arm and youth officer on the national executive of the United National Congress (UNC) Nicholas Morris has thrown his support behind Minister of National Security Jack Warner, in light of alleged reports of him being investigated by United States law agencies.
In a release yesterday, Morris stated his commitment to continue to support Warner.
“I stand firmly behind party chairman and Minister of National Security Jack Austin Warner and express full confidence in his ability to continue performing as Member of Parliament, Cabinet Minister and chairman of the United National Congress.
“He has never abandoned the UNC and in fact always ensured the best for the party and has always sought to protect his other members and thus at this time the party, especially the youth, will not abandon a man of great leadership and vision but instead stand firmly behind him and wish God’s blessings as he continues to serve and develop our great nation of Trinidad and Tobago,’ he said.
Morris said attacks and allegations such as these are not uncommon and unheard of for individuals such as Warner who has succeeded on the global stage and detractors will only seek to ruin them by the use of lies and untruths.
He said Warner’s contribution to the United National Congress must be noted and appreciated as he has always been there for the UNC, its members and the people of Trinidad and Tobago through his hard work and limitless commitment.
