Resistance to Change
The Editor:
Change is inevitable and as a result, involuntarily nothing remains the same. Strange enough, change can be a source of fear and unhappiness. It has always been a mystery as to why people resist it so deeply and struggle against it so desperately. Maybe the answer resides in the uncertainty of the outcome. The fact is that without change, everything will eventually stagnate and fade away. We need to adapt whether it’s for the negative or the positive. Life gives us endless chances to learn about change.
When life is seems stagnant, we long to make changes. When fell the sense of losing control, we long for things to stay the same. As the saying goes, it may be hard for an egg to turn into a bird: it would be a jolly sight harder for it to learn to fly while remaining an egg. We are like eggs at present. And you cannot go on indefinitely being just an ordinary, decent egg. We must be hatched or go bad.
I am one seeing that there can only be positives emanating from building the Pt Fortin highway. In time to come, we will all forget about all the naysaying.
