I completed my primary and secondary level education at the Felicity S.D.M.S Hindu Primary School and Queen’s Royal College respectively. I am currently enrolled at the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine pursuing a BSc. in Criminology and Criminal Justice and Political Science.
While at primary and secondary school I participated in several cultural events and youth building exercises including the post as Vice President of the QRC Hindu Society and Director of the Environment and Sport on the QRC Student Affairs Initiative. Currently, I have started the Criminology Students Association of Trinidad and Tobago and have recently joined the UWI Hindu Society.
With a passion for Diabetes Care and advocating on behalf of persons suffering from Diabetes Mellitus I sit on the Executive of the Chaguanas Branch of The Diabetes Association of Trinidad and Tobago. I have since started the National Diabetic Support Group creating small units in different communities throughout the country to provide assistance to citizens. I have also gained certification from the International Diabetes Federation in Managing Type 2 Diabetes, Diabetic Retinopathy and Diabetes and CVD. I have also received certification from Forefront Collaborative in T2DM and Decreasing CVD as well as Haymarket Medical in Glycemic Control.
I have also recently graduated the Community Emergency Response Team Program (CERT) aiding me in being able to provide quality assistance to my fellowmen in times of disaster. Additionally, I have been certified in Agriculture, Livestock and Farming in different fields.
Having completed different modules in the Hindi Language I have been certified in speaking, reading and teaching the Hindi Language.
Youth Development and holistic development of individuals within my society and the greater community has always been a passion of mine as I am of the firm belief that the youth of today will lead the nation tomorrow.
