PNM moving apace to bring down the PP
The amount of resources Ish and Steve possess, they were able to hire a ton-load of very gifted and highly successful lawyers to argue their case before Justice Mira Dean-Armorer. Yes, the Attorney General had the likes of Lord Pannick and the Solicitor General on his team, but still everything seemed touch and go to me. I figured those looking to secure their comfort under Section 34 would have gotten the edge due to reasonable doubt. Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined the Attorney General would completely rout Ferguson and Galbaransingh as he did. Reading over the decision as published in the newspapers, I now believe the decision of the Attorney General to give evidence in the matter tilted the scale in the government’s favour.
Can you remember any Attorney General besides Mr Ramlogan voluntarily giving evidence as a witness in any case involving the State? I mean, we had outstanding attorneys like Karl Hudson Phillips, Selwyn Richardson and Ramesh Lawrence Maharaj, but none of them ever did such a thing. Yes, it’s true Hudson Phillips prosecuted Abdul Malik, but that’s different since prosecutors aren’t witnesses. By stepping up giving evidence himself, Ramlogan left no doubt he was willing to put his credibility on the line. Only sincere persons operate that way and, from the first time I heard him speak on October 2nd 2012 at the Police Outreach Meeting on Pashley Street, I figured he was a politician we all could trust.
Since the Section 34 decision was handed down, opposition politicians have been throwing cold water on its significance. All of them are saying Judge Mira’s verdict will be overturned on appeal. All of them have been moving apace to belittle Mr Ramlogan and the People’s Partnership as if they didn’t help create the mess which the Attorney General almost singlehandedly cleaned up. If you ask me, I’d say they’re all spinning top in the mud of jealousy.
The types of cases this Attorney General has been winning convinces me we do have a true people’s champion of the people in the person of Anand Ramlogan. Let the opposition politicians continue moving apace against him! And when I say apace, I mean it, since I just saw in my son, Justin’s Student’s Companion that a collection of donkeys is called a pace. Their antics will therefore amount to nothing more than braying in the wind.

The “PP” must do all that it can and do not allow the mischief the PNM, MSJ, Ancil Roget and others are causing to get them distracted, I think they did not expected the “PP” to last this long, they’re desperate so they will do and say anything to convince people otherwise, please “PP” leadership promote the work that you’re doing and take care of your party machinery it’s important, we in Laventille East (PP supporters)knows that Mr. J.Warner, A.Ramlogan, Mrs. K.P-Bissessar and others are strong willed for if they can stand up to Basdeo Panday, Ramesh L. Maharaj (they both made a mess of things)and Patrick Manning they surely can deal with Rowley.
