MANZANILLA FLOODING: DID ROHAN SINANAN CAUSE THIS BY CHANGING THE RIVER COURSE BY HIS PAMZANELLA RESORT?

The Drainage Division of the Ministry of Works must confirm whether there is a connection between Rohan Sinanan and the diversion of the river near the Pamzanella Estate in Manzanilla. Is this the cause of the massive flooding and destruction of the road there?

Two weeks ago, on 14 November 2022 at the UNC’s Virtual Report, MP Arnold Ram asked Minister Rohan Sinanan why the course of the river has changed.

At the same meeting, Councillor Kenwyn Phillip representing Manzanilla/Fishing Pond reported that Minister Rohan Sinanan stopped him from doing excavation works to clear the watercourse.

Did this diversion and prevention of clearing work cause the massive flooding and destruction on the Manzanilla road yesterday?

The independent arms of the state must do a proper investigation, and do their jobs conscientiously, instead of being manipulated by senior members of the PNM.

In the meanwhile, the UNC will take legal and parliamentary action to make up for the inaction and destruction that is occurring in our PNM-hijacked state.
