Leader of the Opposition Kamla Persad-Bissessar, SC, MP, is calling for the dismissal of National Security Minister Edmund Dillon, in the wake of media reports aired on Wednesday 11th April, 2018.

Below is a statement issued by the Opposition Leader today:

Another day, another exposé – this demands another firing. Edmund Dillon must go.

Yet again, the media has exposed another dirty deed by one of Rowley’s Ministers.

Dillon has now been proven to be not only a fraudster but also a liar to the nation.

He had the case sealed to try to hide the truth from Trinidad and Tobago.

He has dragged the Ministry into his case involving “elder financial abuse, exploitation and fraud”.

What kind of example is he giving in the fight against crime?

Such behaviour, especially by the Minister of National Security of the country must not be tolerated.

We have no confidence in Dillon; Dillon must go now before he brings any more shame on the people of Trinidad and Tobago.
