Accusations Made by Public Utilities Minister Untrue and Unfounded

The Minister of Public Utilities, Ancil Antoine has used his parliamentary privileges as a cloak to assert untrue and unfounded aspersions with regards to my former Ministerial portfolio and the operations of WASA.
The allegation of my interference in the work of a contractor responsible for restoration at Chandernagore, Chase Village is completely fallacious. The Minister when questioned was not even able to identify the alleged contractor and his wild accusations are completely without basis.
I would like to categorically deny any involvement in the conducting of works by any WASA contractor and remind the public of the integrity I upheld as a former Government Minister and Member of Parliament and give the assurance that I would never engage in any act which would constitute an abuse of my power in office.
