The Centre was fitted with a new kitchen, ceiling, stage, auditorium and administration office.
Peters stated that this Centre was the 22nd opened by his Ministry since the People’s Partnership Government took office in 2010.
“Work with your Village Council, work with your Women’s Groups, and your Sports and Cultural Groups to ensure that you build a safe, secure community that contributes to our national goal of Prosperity for All”, Peters advised the residents as he declared the Centre officially open.
Ramona Ramdial, Member of Parliament for Couva North said, “the main purpose of opening Community Centres is to bring communities together by offering programs which will enhance the well-being of constituents, especially the youths through culture, skills training and sports.”
Ramdial assured all that “through the Ministries of Community Development, Tertiary Education & Skills Training and the Arts and Multiculturism, a plethora of courses will be offered to the people of the community.”
