Raziah Ahmed is a Motivational Speaker and Financial Planning Consultant. She holds an MBA from the University of the West Indies, Institute of Business and has a Diploma in Life Insurance Management. She studied at Mona Jamaica, under a scholarship from Trinidad Tesoro Petroleum Company, the forerunner company to Petrotrin. She attended Iere High School, and was awarded the Iere Gold Medal for Most Outstanding All Round Student.
She has worked in the financial services sector for 20 years, winning several accolades for mega production for her 1st year, and has ranked in the top 1% in the world in the Insurance services sector for several consecutive years.
Her Company’s Rookie, and Top Female Producer for 5 years. Million Dollar Round Table member for 12 years and Top of the Table producer. Winner of the TTAIFA’s Top Female Challenge Trophy. Past President of the Trinidad and Tobago Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors: 2007-2009. President of then TTAIFA South Chapter; served on the TTAIFA Board for 15 years. Member of the Board- Caribbean Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors for 10 years. Chairman of the CARAIFA Foundation, the charity arm of that Organisation. – 2011. Past President of the Madinah House – a halfway house for battered women and children. Executive member of the National Muslim Women’s Association of Trinidad and Tobago, member of the Anjuman Ladies, and a member of the Young Muslim Women Association.
Wrote newspaper columns on financial prudence in two newspapers: the Sunday Guardian for several years, and up to 2013 in the Sunday Newsday. Member of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association. She was an Agency Manager at Sagicor Life. News Anchor at IBN Cable TV. Radio and Talk Show host. Director of Portfolio Serve Limited. Senator in Government and in Opposition.
