Why is Jack reluctant to clear his name?
Mr. Warner had sufficient opportunities to clear the air on issues of corruption plaguing him like a disease yet he has always rejected to do so in front of the international bodies or tribunals where this could have been done. Had he done so, we would not be having a by-election this month. What is the true reason for this Mr Warner?
Supporters of Jack’s new party are being falsely reassured that they if he were to win the by-election that they would be welcomed back into the People’s Partnership government. This folly was resoundly rejected and showed up for what it is, folly!
Reporters speaking to Mrs. Persad-Bissessar at a walkabout at Pierre Road, Chaguanas, over the weekend, when asked whether she will accept Warner in the coalition, said with a serious face: “No.”
Asked again whether there was any possibility of Warner joining the Partnership, she flatly said “No, no.”
This means that once Jack wins the seat, Chaguanas West would have landed themselves in the opposition benches. Once that is the case, Jack will not be able to use his private funds to be the Robin Hood of the area, and all his ability to shower the electorate with his “goodies” would be vanquished.
