UNC Youth Arm Extends Eid-ul-Fitr Greetings
As Muslims from Trinidad and Tobago and other parts of the world observe this auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, the United National Congress Youth Arm would like to extend best wishes to our Muslim brothers and sisters in commemorating this festival.
Eid-ul-Fitr is the celebration that marks the end of the month of Ramadan. Ramadan is a month of intense prayer and sacrifice for Muslims. During Ramadan while Muslims abstain from food and drink from dusk to dawn, it gives them the time for introspection and spiritual cleansing. Ramadan also strengthens the communal bonds as our Muslim brothers and sisters would join each other in Iftar (breaking of the fast) throughout this entire month.
As our Muslim brothers and sisters celebrate Eid on this day it is a reminder of the rich heritage and diversity of our country.
The UNC Youth Arm hopes this day of celebration brings joy to all of your homes and we wish that Allah showers you with his choicest blessings and accepts the sacrifices that was made in this holy month of Ramadan.
