UNC to close nominations for 21 General Election seats
The United National Congress (UNC) will close nominations for 21 general election seats currently not held by the party on Thursday 24th October, 2019.
UNC PRO Senator Anita Haynes stated, “The UNC has completed the screening process for Local Government, but we also want to ensure that we put candidates in constituencies where they currently do not have representation.”
UNC is currently conducting training workshops for all candidates during this week in order to prepare them for the upcoming Local Government Elections and to be effective representatives for the people of Trinidad and Tobago.
Ms. Haynes stated, “We have been living through four years of complete incompetence and mismanagement under this Keith Rowley administration. The people of Trinidad and Tobago have witnessed a deterioration in our quality of life because the PNM only talks but cannot deliver.”
“We urge all citizens interested in national development to use the month of October to get involved by filing nomination forms to serve the people so we can build Trinidad and Tobago together.”
“The UNC has a demonstrated track record of delivery and a clear philosophy of putting people first. The party believes that the more people we bring to the decision-making table, the country will have better representation.”
