Basdeo Panday and Patrick Arnold
The United National Congress sends it condolences and deepest sympathies to the family of Patrick Arnold, who passed away on Tuesday night.
Patrick Arnold was most well-known as President of Pan Trinbago (1996-2009), but he also served as Mt. St. George Deputy director, a past Senator, and was a highly regarded Pan Tuner.
Under the Basdeo Panday Administration, PanTrinbago – under the Presidency of Mr. Arnold — received the deed to lands at Trincity to provide a National home for Pan.
Under the Kamla Persad-Bissessar Administration, Mr. Arnold served as Chairman of the National Carnival Commission.
Patrick Arnold was an ambassador of the culture of Trinidad and Tobago, nationally and internationally. He had a lasting effect on the organisation and management of the steelpan movement. May he rest in eternal peace.
