The AG won, didn’t he? Where all these “parade-rainers” come out?
Some persons seem quite upset the Attorney General, Anand Ramlogan, SC, has scored another powerful victory in the law-courts With all due respect to them, I will NOT hold off congratulating him, firstly because when I passed Common Entrance my parents, classmates, schoolteacher, school, siblings and entire neighborhood celebrated as if I’d won a Nobel Prize.
Nobody held back saying I’d flop in secondary school. It was thanksgiving and merriment throughout. Their accolades gave me added impetus to face the rigours of high school life. And that was just Common Entrance!
Secondly, I’ve never attended a wedding where participants and guests were vexed or reluctant to celebrate due to their brooding over the incontrovertible divorce statistics of 50% of marriages ending in divorce. While the wedding party’s with us we rejoice. The AG won! Who are these parade-rainers parading all over the place suddenly?
We, Trinbagonians, love to hide our candles! I say leave the Attorney General to enjoy his stunning victory! As we speak, it is the law! The men who took him to court lost on every count! It is foolish and churlish to hope for an overturn down the road and use that pretence to hold back on congratulating a most remarkable judicial achievement.
Well done, AG Ramlogan!
