Swift Action To Treat With Oil Spill

EQUIPMENT ARRIVES FROM UNITED STATES: 

Equipment arrives from Oil Spill Response Limited2Oil Spill cleanup equipment from Oil Spill Response Limited (OSRL) arrived this morning (December 23, 2013) at Piarco International Airport on two cargo aircraft. The equipment was immediately cleared through Customs and transported via truck convoy to South Trinidad. Energy Minister Kevin Ramnarine, Petrotrin Chairman Lindsay Gillette and Petrotrin President Khalid Hassanali were on hand to receive the equipment which will be immediately deployed in the effort to clean up the affected coastline.

Equipment arrives from Oil Spill Response LimitedThe equipment includes skimmers and booms. Energy Minister Kevin Ramnarine expressed his satisfaction with the speed of the response by OSRL and assured that Petrotrin and the Government would mobilize all resources to deal with the situation and move forward.
