Signs of things to come
The Editor:
The PNM held the Tunapuna/Piarco Regional Corporation in 2009, but in 2010, the People’s Partnership took control following the June 2010 local government elections. In October 2013, the PNM regained control of the corporation.
Recently this Regional Corporation was levied upon for failure to pay a debt amounting to about $2 million. Corporation chairman said the debt predated the current administration, which came into office in October 2013 after the local government elections. He said the management of the corporation knew about it, but the council was never advised of this development
It’s amazing that these persons took the helm and didn’t take the time to see what was outstanding to be done. They seemed to continually be in party mode forgetting that they were elected to serve the people. Is this signs of things to come?
