Rowley to Resurrect Vision 2020 Plan

Dr Rowley’s stated at a recent meeting in San Fernando that the PNM plans to resurrect the failed Vision 2020 Plan is cause for concern.

To begin with, reliance on the dated and suspect Vision 2020 Plan, clearly demonstrates that Dr Rowley and the PNM does not have a progressive plan for tomorrow, if they were to enter into government. This Plan never even got off the ground even when they were in government.

The drive to establish the T&T Revenue Authority was spawned out of this Plan and was it not for the PP Government that came into office and scrapped it, it would have placed extreme financial burden and hardship on the property owners of T&T.

Back then when the Revenue Authority was taking shape, it was projected that over 2,000 employees in the public sector stood to lose their jobs. Dr Rowley needs to be reminded when the NAR cut benefits for public servants, it resulted in them being booted out of government. So imagine Dr Rowley, what would happen if you return to government and then cut staff in the public service in the thousands. You and your party will be forced back to the polls, sooner rather than later.

So Dr Rowley, if you coming, come with something good, other don’t come at all.
