Rowley continues with PNM propaganda, a disgrace as Prime Minister
Princes Town MP Barry Padarath in a press release made a scathing attack on Prime Minister Keith Rowley for his response on the purchase of a Mercedes Benz by his Administration for the use of the Prime Minister.
Padarath said that that Rowley was trying to distract from the real issue of him approving the purchase at a time when the country was facing massive job losses and citizens were being told to tighten their belts in the face of rising food prices coupled with escalating crime.
The Princes Town MP stated that Rowley appeared to still be campaigning since PNM understood that in the six months of being in office they were already very unpopular due to their arrogance and lack of performance.
He added that Rowley continues to behave like a “wajang” even as Prime Minister and that, former Prime Minister Patrick Manning words to describe Rowley was evident in his conduct and in the offensive, insulting and blatant lies that he continues to tell about former Prime Minister Kamla Persad Bissessar.
Padarath stated that the PNM tactic was to make insinuations about persons opposed to them to discredit them. He added that the population was seeing through the smokescreens and mirrors.
He chastised Rowley for disgracing the office of the Prime Minister with his behaviour and implored him to start behaving like a statesman.
The Princes Town MP stated that Rowley needed to reflect on whether at this time in our nation’s history we needed 3 Million Dollars in Paintings, 400 Millions in Buildings, 90 Million in the Brian Lara Stadium, 15 Million for Trade Unions and 2 Million in a Mercedes Benz. He added that Rowley failed to provide any leadership on the serious issues that are affecting the country.
The Princes Town MP stated that he and others were not prepared to standby and allow Rowley’s rant and disgraceful conduct to continue and called on the PNM to reign in it’s out of control leader. Padarath lamented that over the past week while former Prime Minister Kamla Persad Bissessar celebrated Phagwa and Easter observances in prayer and devotion, Rowley was ramajaying in the fete and merriment in Tobago. He stated that no amount of lacaray, innuendos and bachanal coming from Rowley can change the view that the population already has of him as a Prime Minister without a vision and a plan who is only looking to have a jolly good time.
