Ramdial Celebrates Eid with Constituents

Minister of State in the Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources, the Honourable Ramona Ramdial hosted a grand Eid-ul-Fitr celebration on Tuesday.

Members of each of the five Masjids from Couva North were invited to spend an evening of prayer with their former Member of Parliament.

Feature speaker, Imam Reeza Shah of the Carapichaima Masjid explained the significance of fasting during the holy month of Ramadan and the importance of living a good life in order to enter Paradise after death.

Ramdial commended all the Imams and spoke about the important role of religion in youth development. “I recall the days when parents insisted their children attend religious functions regularly; we as parents need to bring that habit back to the home”, she said.

Ramdial continued by thanking the Muslim community for their support wished them Eid Mubarak.
