Opposition Leader urges public to get tested
From day one of the Covid 19 crisis, I have stated that more testing is needed to be done to get a full and true picture of the crisis we face. Sadly, since the beginning, when it really mattered, the Government never made Covid 19 testing a priority.
I continue to implore the Government to make Covid 19 testing widespread and easily accessible to members of the public. I am encouraging citizens to get tested if they have symptoms, so as to prevent the spread of the virus.
With regard to calls for a 24-hour curfew, I wish to state my opposition to this, as it will hinder the ability of citizens to get tested and seek medical help. In addition, it may cause citizens to panic and create chaos as seen with the over 300 thousand applications for curfew passes.
