Negligent owners must feel bite of law
Dear Editor:
In the last few days, two separate vicious attacks by pitbulls have sent a schoolboy and a man from the Princes Town area in south Trinidad to hospital nursing serious injuries about their bodies. The incidents unfolded over Tuesday and Wednesday, even while government advertisements were being posted in daily newspapers warning that the Dog Control Act had become law, effective June 2.The horrendous episodes reinforces the need for this law. Two individuals have had their lives placed on hold because of these attacks. The man was the breadwinner for his family. How unfortunate that they would have to suffer because of neglectful owner.
To the government and especially the Attorney General, great foresight in passing this law and hope that negligent owners feel the full “teeth” and brunt of .
