A specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Dr. Chaitan-Maharaj brings over 15 years of dedicated experience in women’s healthcare. Since 2010, she has served at the Mt. Hope Women’s Hospital as a Substantive Registrar and Part-Time Consultant, playing a vital role in patient care and the training of junior doctors.

Her long-standing service in the public health sector reflects a deep commitment to the well-being of others. Now stepping into the political arena, she brings a compassionate, service-driven approach to representation, with a strong focus on enhancing healthcare services, maternal and child health, and community wellness.
