Moonilal condemns arrogant Ministers and asks what are they trying to hide
The decision to suspend an estate constable at Airports Authority for the legitimate execution of his job reeks of unbridled arrogance and raw abuse of power by the Rowley regime.
The measure is typical of the haughtiness and oppressive manner displayed over the past three years by the grossly inept PNM administration.
It is noteworthy that the matter involves Ministers Camille Robinson-Regis and Dennis Moses, who already have other crucial unanswered public queries.
Ms. Robinson-Regis has never explained a large banking deposit without appropriate declarations to the Integrity Commission.
Mr. Moses curiously lost his memory with respect to his instructions which led to the most critical and embarrassing diplomatic gaffe in recent years.
The tenure of both Ministers is notable only for their obvious under-performance and incompetence.
That ineptitude has now been matched by their arrant conceit and aloofness leading to the suspension from duty of Estate Constable Kelvon Alexander for the lawful and judicious conduct of his duties.
The suspension further reveals the disastrous Rowley regime as self-absorbed, pompous and disdainful of the people they were elected to represent.
Justice demands that Mr. Alexander be immediately reinstated to his job, without any loss of earnings.
In addition, both Ministers Robinson-Regis and Moses should be duly suspended without pay, as a firm indicator of the Prime Minister’s commitment to good governance, justice and fairness.
