Kamla to speak at independence celebrations in New York, USA this weekend

BULL (6) new yorkPolitical Leader of the United National Congress and Leader of the Opposition Kamla Persad-Bissessar, SC, MP, will speak at two events in New York, USA this weekend.

The events are organized by Trinidadians & Tobagonians, USA in Queens, New York. On Saturday 26th August, 2017, the Opposition Leader will deliver the feature address at a fundraiser event, and on Sunday 27th August, 2017 she will be the keynote speaker at the organization’s 5th Annual T&T Independence & Diaspora Family Day at Smokey Park, Richmond Hill, NY.

In accepting the invitation of the organizers, Mrs Persad-Bissessar congratulated them for their ongoing efforts in promoting Trinidad and Tobago abroad.

The UNC Political Leader said her party is working with all persons and groups interested in building Trinidad and Tobago. Mrs Persad-Bissessar is expected to give an overview of Trinidad and Tobago’s current situation and outline some of her party’s proposals to take the country forward.
