Fixing T&T Not Paying Attention
Social activist group Fixin’ T&T are beginning to show signs closely resembling that of the actions of Dr Rowley. On June 3rd this group wrote to the Prime Minister calling on her to authorise the providers of her e-mail accounts to allow investigators complete access to all e-mail transmissions on her accounts that were sent, received, deleted and archived for the months of August, September and October of 2012. And, on July 10, they published a full page advertisement demanding that the Prime Minister, the Attorney General, Minister Suruj Rambachan and Special Advisor Gary Griffith make their e-mails public.
If Fixin’ T&T was paying attention, they would have known that on July 7, acting Commissioner of Police Stephen Williams stated that the Police investigation into the emailgate issue revealed that Rowley’s e-mails were fake. Is this group suggesting that the Police investigation was insufficient? Nonetheless, anyone who examined these e-mails could have seen the fabrication.
Why is this group so insistent on making public the e-mails from the Prime Minister and other Government officials? Surely this must raise issues related to national security based on their high offices, and, not to mention an invasion of privacy. I would admonish Fixin’ T&T to pay attention to the real issues, and not be distracted by erroneous allegations based on false evidence.
