Dr. Lee to ensure a Zika Free Pointe a Pierre

In the coming days Member of Parliament for Pointe a Pierre Dr.David Lee will launch “Project Clear”.

With the threat of the Zika virus ever present, Project Clear is aimed at reducing the risks, impact and possibility of the virus affecting the constituents of Pointe a Pierre.

Project Clear seeks to bring together the party groups, village councils, community groups , NGOs and all concerned parties along with the Regional Cooperation and Member of Parliament’s Office . Together this team will not only undertake a thorough education campaign with constituents as to the risks and spread of the Zika virus but also a rapid and intense clean-up campaign.

The Clean up campaign will be implemented in each community throughout the Constituency in an effort to have residents reduce breeding spaces for mosquitoes by removing those aspects which provide a comfort zone for them.

Together with the Regional Cooperation the Member of Parliament will ensure that residents remove all old appliances, vehicles and garbage that encourage and attract mosquitoes.

Project Clear is just one of the many projects being undertaken by Dr.Lee to ensure that a proper and sustainable standard of living is experienced by his constituents.
