Devesh Maharaj is a prominent attorney at law, and Managing Partner at Devesh Maharaj and Associates since 1995.

He has been active in the party since 1991 in various capacities.

Mr. Maharaj is advisor to President Dr. Louis Nurse of the Trinidad and Tobago 1^st Capital Committee, based in St. Joseph. He has also been the Chairman of the International Love All Serve All Initiative and Advisor to the Casablanca Steel Orchestra.

He has been organising a food kitchen, serving hundreds of meals to the homeless in Port of Spain and environs, every day for the past eight years.

Mr. Maharaj was educated at Lochmaben RC School, Cedros, San Fernando Boys RC,  Presentation College, University of the West Indies (St. Augustine and Cave Hill), and the Hugh Wooding Law School.
