Dates for UNC Constituency Executive Elections

The United National Congress (UNC) wishes to advise that Constituency Executive Elections will be held as follows:-

Saturday February 27th, 2016:-
Barataria / San Juan; Caroni Central; Caroni East; Chaguanas East; Chaguanas West; Couva North; Couva South; Cumuto / Manzanilla; D’Abadie / O’Meara; Fyzabad; La Horquetta / Talparo; Lopinot / Bon Air West; Mayaro; Moruga / Tableland; Naparima; Oropouche East; Oropouche West; Pointe-a-Pierre; Princes Town; Siparia; St. Augustine; St. Joseph; Tabaquite; Toco / Sangre Grande; Tunapuna

Saturday March 5th, 2016
Arima; Arouca / Maloney; Diego Martin Central; Diego Martin Northeast; Diego Martin West; La Brea; Laventille East / Morvant; Laventille West; Point Fortin; Port-of-Spain North / St. Ann’s West; Port-of-Spain South; San Fernando East; San Fernando West; St. Ann’s East; Tobago East; Tobago West

Also, the Youth Arm and Women’s Arm Elections will be held on Sunday March 13th, 2016 at the Couva South Hall (opposite the Couva Health Facility)

Please note the following:-

1. Nomination to contest a position on the Constituency, Youth Arm or Women’s Arm Executive opens on Monday January 25th, 2016. Nomination for the Constituency Executive closes on Friday February 5th, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. Nomination for the Youth Arm and Women’s Arm closes on February 12th, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. Completed Nomination Forms are to be placed in a sealed envelope, addressed to the General Secretary of the United National Congress and dropped off at the UNC Headquarters, Rienzi Complex, Couva

2. Deadline to withdraw nomination for the Constituency Executive is on Wednesday February 10th, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. and for the Youth and Women’s Arm is on Wednesday February 17th, 2016 at 4:00 p.m.

3. Nomination Forms will be available for collection at the UNC Headquarters, Rienzi Complex, Couva from Monday January 25th, 2015 between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

The National Congress of Delegates will be held on Saturday March 19th, 2016 at the Couva South Hall (opposite the Couva Health Facility)
The Special National Assembly will be held on Saturday April 23rd, 2016 at the Couva South Hall (opposite the Couva Health Facility)
