Be careful of PNM trickery

I listened attentively to the PNMs manifesto launch to see what goodies they will offer me if they were to win the elections on September 7th. To be honest, these goodies are what always raise my hopes and expectations. The one that stood out to me the most was the promise to cut VAT from 15% to 12.5%.
To me, every dollar counts so I started calculating how much savings I could make when this is enacted.
I went to the grocery and after consultation with the cashier, I realized that VAT was removed completely from over 7000 grocery items by the PP administration. It’s then I realized that I was tricked into thinking that I would save from this overall reduction by 2.5%.
Can you imagine having to pay 12.5% on over 7000 items that I currently pay no VAT on? I would like the PNM to reconsider what they offer as goodies to us.
