Unraveling local politics
The emailgate issue that stemmed out of the no confidence motion has shown the length and breath of local politics. Dr. Rowley planted a bomb that may very well explode in his own face. It is important to note that there was clearly a hidden agenda behind all of this.
I find it strange that there are allegations against senior ministers in government, captain Griffith and the honorable Prime Minister in the various threads of emails yet they are only calling for the head of the honorable Attorney General.
The idea therefore is that if by allegations they can have the AG removed, then they can point fingers and say that the rest of the government has to go. Also, all the litigations that the AG has brought against “partners” of the former administration will come to a grinding halt.
It is quite commendable however that these senior ministers have been willing to meet with the investigating officers to have the matter resolved.
The police has the power to investigate and also source any technical assistance they deem necessary. Time will tell how this matter unfolds, and determine whether or not the accuser becomes the accused.
