Since that announcement that Union have tried to make representations and meet the substantial Minister of Finance Colm Imbert in an attempt to persuade him to revisit the repressive, oppressive and regressive taxation measures without any success. As a result of the Union failure to hold direct discussions with Minister Colm Imbert the Union accepted the invitation of the Leader of the Opposition and nominate Vice President of UMCLW Mr. Jabez Joshua Selford Johnson as temporary Senator.
