UNC Youth Arm held Cricket Charity event
UNC Youth Arm and Cricket for Life Foundation together with Councilor Shawn Premchand for Christmas Charity.
The cricket for life Foundation together with the UNC Youth Arm held another cricket tournament , however this time in partnership with Councilor Shawn Premchand who is the Local Government Representative for Corinth Cedar Hill.
The Cricket for Life Foundation was formed under the leadership of Chairman of the UNC Youth Arm Nicholas Morris in May 2014 with the aim of assisting young cricketers develop not only their playing skills but also their life skills. The Cricket for Life Foundation continues to visit communities to assist teams who are in need of funding while also assist young people with jobs, career guidance and life building skills. One such team that has benefitted from the Cricket for Life Foundation’s Mandate is the Cane Farm Cricket Club of Arouca who were assisted with both funding and new equipment for the 2014 season.
On November 30th 2014 the Cricket for Life Foundation together with the UNC Youth Arm and Councilor Shawn Premchand hosted a cricket tournament at the St. Madeline Recreation ground. Over ten teams participated in the competition which was supported by MP’s Roodal Moonilal and MP Clifton De Couteau along with the Chairman and Council of the Princes Town Regional Coorporation.
The aim of the compititon was to raise money for purchasing hampers, toys and foodstuff for the less fortunate individuals of the Cedarhill Community this festive season.
